It’s time to get crazy with our accessories and add some color.

I really loved this DIY, hope you like it too! Its really simple but also really effective.
Wire Wrapped Necklace DIY with Large Stones
  1. 1 Bag of large plastic jewel stones (I found mine at Michael’s)
  2. 1 Sheet of plastic canvas (found mine at Joann’s Fabrics)
  3. 1 Yard of ribbon (local fabric store)
  4. 20 gauge wire (Joann’s)
  5. Pliers
  6. Scissors
  7. Glue (I ended up using hot glue, because I didn’t want to wait for the glue to dry)
Wire Wrapped Stone Necklace DIY Supplies
Step 1
  • Take your plastic canvas and an 8 inch plate.
  • Trace around the plate and cut out.
  • Cut inside your cut out circle to make a 1 inch thick ring.

Step 2
Start glueing your stones to your plastic canvas. Mix up your colors and shapes. Keep adding until it’s all filled up.
Do not fill up your whole circle. I recommend only going up about half way, other wise it gets too stiff and you wont be able to put it around your neck.Large Stone Necklace DIY Tutorial
Step 3
  • Once you’ve finished glueing on all your stones, you can start wrapping your wire.
  • Start on the back side and tuck the end of your wire into your plastic canvas and crimp to hold.
  • Keep wrapping until you’ve wrapped the whole thing.

Step 4
Take your ribbon and cut it in half.
Glue one end of each piece onto the back of your finished jeweled and wrapped necklace. I tucked my ribbon under the wire on the back side before I glued it.Wire Wrapped Large Stone Necklace with Ribbon DIY
This was a really quick and fun necklace to make. The hot glue worked really well and I’m sure, if you’re more patient than me, most other types of glue would work just fine too (including Aleene’s Tacky Glue, as seen in the supplies picture). This really is a cute necklace for Summer

Step 1
Adjust your hose clamp. You can do this by loosening the skrew at the top of the hose clamp. You’ll want to make sure it’s very loose to start because as you wrap your ribbon and elastic it will get tighter. It’s a good idea to check the size frequently as you go.Ribbon Wrapped Ring DIY
Step 2
Put a small drop of hot glue on the inside underneath the top of the hose clamp and attach the end of your ribbon that you will be using for the main part of the ring.Ribbon Wrapped Ring DIY
Step 3
Start wrapping your ribbon around the hose clamp, pulling it snug. Before you wrap the top part of the hose clamp is a good time to check your size. Just remember that even at this point, you still want it a little loose.Ribbon Wrapped Ring DIY
Continue wrapping the top part of the hose clamp, covering it completely. When you get to the end put a small drop of hot glue to attach the end of the ribbon.Ribbon Wrapped Ring DIY
Step 4
Take your large bead, needle and thread and making a big loop, go through the hole in the bead, around the top of the hose clamp, running the needle and thread through the ribbon just underneath the top of the hose clamp. Before you pull your thread tight, put a small drop of hot glue on the top of the ring to secure your large bead.
Pull your thread tight and make at least another 2 loops around to hold your bead.Ribbon Wrapped Ring DIY
Step 5
Take your 2nd ribbon color and fold it in half longways. Place a small drop of hot glue on the side of your ring and attach the end of the ribbon. Start wrapping your ribbon around the top of your ring twisting it as you go, this will give it more texture.
When you are finished secure the end of your ribbon with a small drop of hot glue.Ribbon Wrapped Ring DIY
Step 6
Taking your gold elastic tuck one end inside a fold in your ribbon, choose a fold that is more hidden, and secure with a small drop of hot glue.
Start wrapping your gold elastic around your ring, pull it snug but not to tight. When you are finished cut your elastic and tuck your end inside another fold in the ribbon and secure with a small drop of hot glue.Ribbon Wrapped Ring DIY
With Summer right around the corner this colorful Ribbon Wrapped ring will be an asset to any flirty dress or basic jeans. You can mix up some really bright color combinations and create a serious statement.

DIY: Rijstpoeder masker
